Since 2012 BBC Radio 4 have been collecting intimate conversations between friends or relatives, to build a unique picture of our lives today. The Listening Project team have collected over a thousand so far and archived by the British Library, preserving them for future generations. In 2014 Radio 4 approached Justin Greetham with a proposal to animate a selection of these conversations. Charged with leading a team of student artists, developers and programmers Justin developed a range of new media applications for the purpose of marketing and promoting the Savannah College of Art and Design nationally and internationally. The university today enroll’s more than 11,000 students from across the United States and around the world with international students comprising up to 14 percent of the student population. Justin was also charged with chairing the SCAD chapter of the New Media Consortium - an international not-for-profit consortium of more than 250 colleges, universities, museums, corporations, and other learning-focused organisations dedicated to the exploration and use of new media and new technologies.

The relocation of Lost In Space away from the Soho premises to The Neville Brody Research Studio based in Islington provided Justin with an opportunity to expand his feature film and television commercials work to now include interactive projects. Working alongside Neville Brody, Justin contributed to a range of award winning film and interactive projects that required a substantial amount of design work that included Honeycombe ‘Craver’, Levi’s ‘Spaceman’, Lucozades ‘Desmond The Dog’, Whitecastle ‘What You Crave’ to name but a few. His responsibilities included pitching, budgeting, client liaison, tape ingest, compositing, animating and the recruitment of freelance staff.

Computer Film Company | 50-51 Berwick Street | London | UK

The pioneering digital film studio Lost In Space specialised in high end digital visual effects & animation for TV commercials and Feature Films . Credits whilst working out of the Computer Film Company’s Berwick Street address included Judge Dread, Hackers, The National Lottery Launch, Clearasil, Esso Oil and the Rolling Stones music video to name but a few. As animator and effects artist Justin used a range of software applications that included Elastic Reality, Softimage, Flint, Pandemonium and Adobe Photoshop. He was also responsible for the sourcing of freelance animation talent situated in the UK and further afield. The studio was founded by Christian Hogue in 1990 after time spent at Industrial Light & Magic working on the pioneering feature film Terminator 2

Runner/Trainee Designer

Now part of the Prime Focus Group VTR was a tape recording, duplication and transferal service bureau based in the heart of Soho. When Justin was not providing hospitality to a range of client representing the TV commercials industry he was honing his skills as a designer and animator on the company’s Quantel Paintbox and Autodesk Flame suites.

About

Working with the team behind the seminal film Terminator 2, Justin couldn't have asked for a better introduction into the then fledging computer graphics industry in London during the early 1990's. Based at the Computer FIlm Company and then later at the Neville Body Research Studio together with the team at 'Lost In Space' he contributed to a range of award winning projects for film, television and new media that included clients such as the Rolling Stones, Disney, Industrial Light & Magic, Pixar, Passion Pictures, Saatchi & Saatchi, The Natural History Museum, Buena Vista International & United Artist to name but a few.
